Chlorinators/Brominators - these are canister
type feeder units which are filled with the either
Chlorine or Bromine tablets and water flows over
the tablets and out to the pool. The flow of water
through the unit and thus the amount of sanitiser
are controlled by a valve. These units can also
be fitted with a Sens R Trol unit which actually
senses the amount of sanitiser the pool requires
and automatically adjusts the levels. |

| Salt Water
Systems -
with these systems, salt is added to the pool
water and electrolysis converts salt into
Chlorine at source and sends it back into
the pool. |

| Ozone Systems
- an ozone system has a unit fitted in line with
the filtration that generates Ozone either by corona
discharge or by passing over a UV light. The ozone
acts as the sanitiser. Ozone is a very powerful
oxidiser which enables you to reduce your Chlorine
level and enjoy a more pleasurable bathing experience. |

| Ionisers
- an Ioniser works by means of an exchange of ions
- some are based on copper ions, others on silver
ions. Again, lower Chlorine levels can be enjoyed
when an Ioniser is installed. |

| Alternative
manual sanitising methods - Chlorine is
the most widely used chemical to sanitise a swimming
pool manually but at Home Counties, we have tested
other methods coming into the market and now supply
Active Oxygen. As the name implies, this works on
Oxygen as the sanitising agent and is a Chlorine
free alternative. |
